Someone once asked me what comes first the shoe or the outfit? This look was inspired from the ground up when I found these Victorian meets bondage suede boots. The cupcake shaped jacquard skirt and exaggerated sleeve on the blouse scream drama! When fastened with a sturdy utilitarian belt, it evokes memories of the Alexander McQueen Fall 2002 show that began my love affair with the fashion house.
It was a sunny day when I ventured out to do this shoot. A day perfect enough for the lakefront wedding inhibiting my passage to the dock which I’d envisioned as my backdrop. Then in a moment that seemed orchestrated by the late McQueen himself, unexpected storm clouds equipped with thunderous sound effects rolled in creating an ominous overcast. My dark colors against the lush landscape give me a wolflike quality reminiscent of the four-legged creatures that helped open that infamous runway show.
